Networks in ACW Networks in ACW Networks are an invaluable means of meeting and communicating with other ACW members and workplace practitioners, and provide opportunities for exchanging information, exploring areas of common interest, promoting mutual support and a sense of professional belonging. Networks can also offer opportunities for formal and informal continuing professional development activity and events, and provide an important link between the ACW membership and the Executive. ACW currently has a range of Area networks, and a Trauma Network for practitioners with specific interests in workplace trauma. The Executive is also keen to support the development of further area networks and specific special interest networks. To view notices from people wishing to start networks click here. If you have any queries about networks please contact ACW network and special interest group co-ordinator Barry McInnes on 01273 681509 or at barry.mcinnes@virgin.net The following is a list of current ACW area networks. ACW is committed to promoting and developing networks as a means of enabling members to gain benefit from their membership of ACW, communicate and meet with other members. If we don't currently have a network covering your area but you would like to see one, then we could help to develop one. To find out more please contact ACW network and special interest group co-ordinator Barry McInnes on 01273 681509 or at barry.mcinnes@virgin.net ACW has a Trauma Network for practitioners interested in all aspects of trauma and critical incidents in the workplace. This is a newly re-formed network which is exploring different ways of providing appropriate support for members and encouraging the flow of information and expertise on issues such as working with groups who have experienced trauma, managing clients with possible PTSD and training in working with trauma. If you are interested in joining the network please contact the coordinator Shirley Cullupp and she will send you a sheet to register your areas of interest.
