Conference 2004

ACW Conference 2004

Making the most of your career: getting there! staying there!

Friday 14 May 2004
Holiday Inn - London, Kensington Forum

Who is the conference for?

Are you starting out in workplace counselling or are you a seasoned practitioner, service manager or consultant? Are you salaried, do you work as an EAP affiliate? Do you know where your career is going or are you feeling stuck? Do you want to develop new areas such as training or coaching?

ACW’s 2004 conference will address the career needs of both new and experienced practitioners in a lively and interactive one-day event. It will provide a range of opportunities for delegates to pick up new skills and knowledge as well as networking with other practitioners, EAP providers and trainers.

There will also be a workplace counselling marketplace providing useful information and resources and a facilitated networking session. There will be an opportunity for one-to-one career audit consultations with Laurie Clarke, Chief Executive, BACP and Paul Barrett, Counselling Manager, HSBC Bank.

Themed networking events will give participants an opportunity to meet and share experience and interests around one of a number of themes, and to maintain these networks in the future if you choose, with the support of ACW. Topics include research and evidence-based practice, managing counselling services, ethical practices in the workplace and trauma. An appropriate space will be provided and organisers will offer some facilitation to get you started – after that it’s up to you!
